Are you a Zionist? Perhaps you have never really though about it or imagined yourself as a Zionist.
After reading through the different parts of this series, I pray that you are truly evaluating whether or not you are a
Zionist and coming to the conclusion that in your heart you are.
How can you know?
Ask yourself these questions:
- Do I desire to see the Jewish people return from the nations of the world to their ancient homeland of Israel in accordance
with Biblical prophecy?
- Do I desire to see the nation of Israel grow, prosper, and exist in peace and security according to Biblical prophecy?
- Am I willing to do all in my power to see these goals realized?
If you answered yes to the above questions then, congratulations, you are a Zionist! People find themselves Zionists for
a number of different reasons, some spiritual and some physical, but the goal remains the same, to see the Jewish people returned
to the Land of Israel and to see them grow, prosper, and live securely in the Land.
You may be asking yourself now, "What can I do? I am just one person, so far removed from Israel and what is happening
there." There are a number of different ways in which you can contribute to the strengthening of Israel.
- Prayer. The success of Zionism rests on the involvement of God. If believers in the God of Israel are faithful
to pray for the peace and prosperity of Israel, then God will be faithful to hear those prayers and answer them.
- Political. Even the most politically unaware, uninvolved among us can make a political difference on behalf of
Israel. Your elected government representatives are not there for no reason. They rely on YOUR vote and will therefore listen
to your suggestions and requests. Write to your government representatives and tell them that you would like to see more support
for Israel in your government.
- Get involved physically. There are a number of organizations for both Christians and Jews in Israel making a difference
on the ground, and they are in need of volunteer help. Some of the Christian organizations include Bridges for Peace and the
International Christian Embassy Jerusalem. A more interesting option for Jews is to work for a period of time on a kibbutz
(for more information visit the WZO website).
- Financial support. Perhaps you do not know how you can make a difference on the ground in Israel, nor do you have
the time or ability. There are a number of organizations that have dedicated themselves to finding ways to make a difference
on the ground in Israel, but they need YOUR financial support. This is an easy way for you to become an active member and
supporter of Zionism.
The above are just some of the ways that you can put your Zionism into action. Pray about it and ask God to reveal to you
just how He wants you to respond to this feeling in your heart for Israel.
That concludes our study on Zionism. We pray that this study has given you a desire to learn more about Zionism and its
spiritual importance both for the Jewish people and Christians alike. Please visit the other features in this Channel for
